Hamilton neighbourhoods

How these areas were chosen

Hamilton’s neighbourhood names are unusually load-bearing: an amalgamated city means Ancaster, Dundas and Stoney Creek were separate municipalities until 2001, while the lower city is divided into small planning units the City sometimes splits by direction. Both are reflected below, using the City’s own boundaries.

Where a name has no boundary published under an open licence, there is no page for it rather than a guessed shape. The excluded names, and the reason for each, are listed on the data page.
